FAQs

How does Botox work?

Botox contains a purified strain of a botulinum toxin. This safe, effective, and FDA-approved injectable works by interacting with cell signaling that leads to muscle contractions and twitching. This leads to smooth appearing skin and diminished frown and furrow lines as the facial muscles are relaxed by the Botox injection. This muscle relaxation effect is not permanent.
